Role of Organization Advisor

The organization advisor is a UT Dallas faculty or staff person who will have the time to devote to your organization and will take the role seriously.

The Advisor will:
Recognize and support participation in student organizations for its contribution to the educational and personal development of students; Attend mandatory risk management training session;  Work with student organizations but not dictate the group’s programs or activities; Be frank in offering suggestions, considerations or ideas, and discussing possible consequences; Be well informed about the plans and activities of the organization; Attend some meetings and consult frequently with the organization’s officers; Know the goals and directions of the organization; Help the organization evaluate its progress;

Role of President

Responsible for Networking with faculty and outside professional world for organizing the events for the organization. Addressing the weekly meetings. Responsible for addressing the needs the members and maintaining the coherence in overall functioning of the organization.

Role of Vice- President

Same responsibilities as the president and substituting the president whenever he is not in office. Also, responsible for overseeing whether the other officers are adhering to their assigned responsibilities.

Role of Secretary

In charge for maintaining the minutes of the weekly meetings and overseeing the internal affairs of the society such as communication of events to the members, handling communication within the officers, maintaining up to date list of the members etc.

Role of Treasurer

Handling the bank account, providing budget for the events, reimbursing the expenses incurred for the events, making sure that the members have paid their dues and sending reminders for renewal or failure to pay the dues.

Role of Public Relations Officer

In charge for publicity of events. Run the membership drive to attract new members. Designing and distributing posters for the events and communicating the events to the student body to ensure decent attendance and maintaining the quorum.

Role of Event coordinator

Responsible for all the logistics for the event. From checking the room availability, to ordering snacks, to planning social events etc.

Role of Web designer

Developing and maintaining the website or BLOG and keeping content current.

Role of Risk Officer

Attend the student government and other meetings. Represent our society at those meetings and understand the do’s and dont’s of our society and effectively communicate the same to the members of our society.

Role of Volunteer Officer

Responsible for management  volunteers for different events like  any speaker events,Community projects etc.He will be also in charge of keeping up the track of volunteer’s work and their requirements.He will  suffice  the  needs of the elected officers on temporary basis if the officer is not there.
